Procedure for the release of information
In accordance with classification methodology, the general rule is that the interested entity itself classifies its business activities, products (goods and services), fixed assets, and construction objects based on the principles set out in the specific classifications and nomenclatures introduced by Council of Ministers regulations or applied directly under European Community law.
If difficulties arise in determining the appropriate grouping, the interested entity may apply to the Classification and Nomenclature Centre (OKN) for a classification indication and a formal response regarding the type of activity, product, service, fixed asset, or construction object.

The Centre does not perform classifications based on information provided verbally or by telephone; requests must be submitted in writing and signed by a person authorized to represent the entity.
The electronic form available on the OKN website must be completed by specifying a single classification and describing only one activity, service, product, fixed asset, or construction object. Requests involving multiple inquiries—whether submitted via email, the electronic form, or traditional means—must be filed using separate forms. Requests submitted incorrectly that are not rectified within the deadline specified by the Centre will not be processed.
