Provision of Architectural Accessibility and Information and Communication Accessibility
Procedure for Submitting a Request for Architectural or Information and Communication Accessibility
Pursuant to Article 30(1) of the Act of 19 July 2019 on Ensuring Accessibility for Persons with Special Needs, a person with special needs (hereinafter referred to as the “applicant”) or their legal representative, upon demonstrating a legitimate interest, has the right to submit a request for architectural or information and communication accessibility (hereinafter referred to as the “accessibility request”).
The accessibility request should be submitted to the public entity whose activities are related to the requested accessibility measure.
The request must include:
- the applicant’s contact details;
- identification of the barrier that hinders or prevents accessibility in the architectural or information and communication area;
- the preferred method of contact with the applicant;
- the preferred method of providing accessibility, if applicable.
The public entity receiving the request has 14 days to provide accessibility in the scope specified in the request. In special cases, after contacting the applicant and explaining the reason for the delay, the entity may set a different deadline, not exceeding 2 months from the date the request was submitted.

Digital Accessibility
Pursuant to Article 18(1) of the Act of 9 May 2019 on the Digital Accessibility of Public Entities’ Websites and Mobile Applications, anyone has the right to request that a public entity ensure the digital accessibility of a specified website, mobile application, or an element thereof, including elements referred to in Article 3(2) and elements exempt from digital accessibility under Article 8(1), or to make them available through an alternative access method referred to in Article 7.
A request for digital accessibility must include:
- the contact details of the person making the request (hereinafter referred to as the “applicant”);
- identification of the website, mobile application, or specific element of a website or mobile application that is to be made digitally accessible;
- the preferred method of contact with the applicant;
- the preferred alternative method of access, if applicable.
The public entity receiving the request has 7 days to provide digital accessibility of the website, mobile application, or specified element. In special cases, after contacting the applicant and explaining the reason for the delay, the entity may set a different deadline, not exceeding 2 months from the date the request was submitted.

Respecting your privacy and the privacy of other individuals you may refer to when communicating with us, we kindly ask that correspondence sent to the Statistical Office in Kraków contain only the data necessary for processing an accessibility request. In particular, unless necessary for preparing and reviewing the request, please do not provide special-category personal data, such as health-related information.
Providing personal data is voluntary. However, failure to provide certain personal data, such as identity and contact details, may prevent us from responding to correspondence or may extend the time required to process and respond to your accessibility request.
For this reason, providing basic information such as identity and contact details is necessary for the proper handling of requests concerning architectural, information and communication, or digital accessibility.
If you voluntarily provide excessive data (i.e., data not necessary for processing the request), including special-category data such as health information, this means you acknowledge that the Data Controller gains access to such data. Such data will be processed by the Statistical Office in Kraków on the basis of consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and Article 9(2)(a) of the GDPR, expressed through the explicit action of voluntarily providing such personal data.
