Online Conference: “Use of the Administrative Data Sources and FADN for Regional Agricultural Economic Accounts”
On August 28, 2026, an online conference will be held on the use of administrative data sources and Farm Sustainability Data Network (FSDN/FADN) data for the compilation of Regional Agricultural Economic Accounts. The event is organized by the Statistics Poland.
The meeting will focus on presenting the results of a project concerning the application of administrative data and FSDN/FADN data in agricultural statistics and their use in compiling regional agricultural economic accounts.
One of the main topics of the conference will be the growing role of administrative data sources in agricultural statistics. The use of information derived, among other sources, from systems supporting agricultural holdings makes it possible to expand the scope of statistical analyses while reducing the burden on respondents. This approach aligns with the “collect once, use many times” principle, which is one of the key directions in the development of modern public statistics.
The conference will also highlight the importance of FSDN/FADN data for economic analyses of agriculture. Thanks to a carefully selected sample of farms, this system provides detailed information on the operations of agricultural holdings and makes it possible to capture regional variations within the agricultural sector. These data provide essential support for the compilation of Regional Economic Accounts for Agriculture.
The Regional Economic Accounts for Agriculture provide information on the value of agricultural production, inputs incurred, and income generated by farms in individual provinces. They allow for the analysis of the economic situation of agriculture at the regional level, the identification of differences between regions, and support for processes related to the formulation of agricultural policy and rural development.
The conference program also included topics related to the Economic Accounts of Agriculture and the Regional Economic Accounts of Agriculture in the context of the statistical obligations of European Union member states, as well as a presentation of analysis results illustrating the situation of Polish agriculture in light of these accounts.
