On September 13-17, 2022, the 36th International Conference of the Center for International Research on Economic Trends (CIRET) was held in Istanbul, co-organized by the Center for Economic Research of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, the UN Statistics Division and the Faculty of Economics at Marmara University in Istanbul.

On September 29-30, 2022, the 28th Teleinformatics Forum was held under the theme "State Information System - Directions of Development". It is the oldest (organized since 1995) and currently the largest IT conference for the public sector.

"Environmental Atlas" took second place in the 20th edition of the Association of Polish Cartographers' "Map of the Year 2021" competition, in the category "Other maps and atlases (printed)". The competition results were announced on September 29 during the 44th National Cartographic Conference.

The European Commission published the eighth edition of the Open Data Maturity Report, which has been compiled since 2015.. The 2022 edition aims to help participating countries better understand their level of open data maturity, to capture their progress over time.

The cyclical Open Data Inventory (ODIN) ranking assesses the coverage and openness of official statistics. In this edition, Poland maintained 2nd place among 195 countries worldwide! (the results were verified on 9.08.2023)

The 31st International Cartographic Conference took place from August 13-18 in Cape Town. The event is organized by the South African National Committee of the ICA.
